Caitlin Benelli

Technician Supervisor

Caitlin’s relationship with the Leach family began many years ago, but she officially began working at the vet hospital in 2010. A Cape Cod native, she has been involved in veterinary technician work for well over a decade and has been riding and working with horses for more than two decades. Prior to working full time at the vet hospital, Caitlin spent four years on Vieques, which is a Caribbean Island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. While she adventured there, she worked as an adoption coordinator and vet technician for Vieques Humane Society, and she ran horseback riding tours with an ecotourism company. She worked with us intermittently between island time until she returned to us full time in October 2014. Having developed great experience, skill, and leadership, Caitlin has moved into the role of technician supervisor. Caitlin was recently married to the man of her dreams and lives in Sandwich. She splits her downtime between jogging on beautiful Cape Cod beaches, entertaining her many adopted dogs, and riding her horse.

Susan Caprio

Office Manager

Susan began working as a veterinary technician at our hospital in 2009 after years of experience at a veterinary clinic in Connecticut. She has recently moved forward in our practice as the office manager. Susan enjoys riding horses and spending time with her four children. She is also a recent first time grandmother!

Victoria

Victoria Goddard

Veterinary Technician

Victoria grew up on Cape Cod and has always been a fan of all things cute and fluffy. She recently graduated from University of Massachusetts with a degree in animal science and currently is continuing her education toward her dream of receiving admission into veterinary school. An award-winning Irish step dancer, Victoria brings tenacity and a strong work ethic along with a healthy dose of compassion to our team!

Leach Animal Hospital

Bryna Hill

Veterinary Technician

Bryna has been a longtime client and friend of the Leach Animal Hospital doctors and staff, having worked for Dr. Narbonne, and adopting many pets and caring for horses over the years. Dr. Leach began taking care of her first horse when she was twelve years old! After majoring in elementary education at UMASS Amherst, Bryna worked for two decades for families all over Cape Cod, and we are now finally lucky enough to have her join our staff as a veterinary receptionist. We love Bryna not only for her spectacular personality and drive, but also for her intense passion for animals of all species. Always jumping to adopt a pet when the opportunity arises, she is well known as top Pet Mom! She is also a very talented rider and has owned her current horse, Pablo, since 2000. Bryna lives in Marstons Mills with her husband and goofy trio of smooshy-faced dogs, Ridley, Buddy, and Charlie

Leach Animal Hospital

Jaleleigh Hidenfelter

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Jaeleigh is our youngest and spunkiest team member! She comes to us with a lot of energy and great animal handling experience. Recently certified as a veterinary assistant through the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), Jaeleigh is eager to learn more about veterinary medicine and is passionate about animal care. She began riding at a very young age and has shown horses both locally and nationally on the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) circuits, riding English Pleasure and Western.  She’s especially active in showing over the summer, where she is known to take home top ribbons! Besides horses, she also loves her puggle Leroy and her cat Stitch.

Lindsay Hirt

Veterinary Technician

Lindsay has worked for Dr. Leach’s practice as a part time veterinary technician since 2007. She also works as a marine biologist and science educator, splitting her time between three offices – the Atlantic Ocean, the veterinary hospital, and classrooms on the south shore of Massachusetts. Between these three spaces, she supports her passion of caring for companion animals and marine wildlife. She holds a B.A. in biology and a Master’s Degree in emergency management. She also is certified with a DESE teaching license in the state of Massachusetts. Lindsay enjoys the salty Cape Cod beaches, singing in a choir, and boating with her (not very brave) boxer Nala.

Anndrea Jackson

Veterinary Receptionist

Anndrea has a lifelong background in training, socializing, and showing dogs. “Andi” has worked in our practice as a veterinary receptionist since 2007 and is now the lead at the front desk, keeping our busy practice running smoothly. She also has managed her own insured pet sitting service for almost three decades, specializing in small dogs in her home. Andi lives by the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne and enjoys traveling, golf, and running. She recently ran the Falmouth Road Race and raised $2,000 for Team Challenge!

Claire

Claire Kennedy

Veterinary Receptionist

Claire is our newest addition to the team at the vet hospital, joining us in reception of your pets. Although she will be a fresh face at the front desk, Claire is also re-training as a veterinary technician. From a young age, Claire was immersed in companionship, with dogs, cats, bunnies, and horses in her hometown of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. After studying animal science and biology at the University of Vermont, Claire combined her love of animals, the mountains, and snowboarding by working for a vet practice in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. After living out west for many years, Claire has returned to New England, and is happy to now call Cape Cod her home. In her free time, Claire loves to snowboard, golf, cook, and travel.

Lisa Kraihanzel

Veterinary Technician

Lisa has worked for Dr. Leach’s hospital since he opened his practice in Mashpee and has literally watched it grow “from the ground up” for more than a decade and a half, helping at each stage of development from designing lab space, painting walls, completing office work, and attending patients. She has been in the field for about twenty-five years and has experience in wildlife, zoo, large and small animals. Lisa is certified as a veterinary technician and holds a B.S. in biology from Northeastern University. She is also a certified dental hygienist and balances working at a dental office in addition to her time with us. She is married with three children. She enjoys time with her family at the beach and loves rescuing greyhounds!

Courtney Souza

Veterinary Technician

You may recognize Courtney (Welch) from a few years back when she worked as a technician for our hospital before she took a year-long, grand adventure out to Colorado. In the mountains her heart was captured by man and dog, and she returned to us this year with both. Now happily married to her husband Jason right here on the Cape, and building a family with additional pups, we are excited to bear witness to Courtney’s hilarious sense of humor and gentle touch with our patients.

Diane Tolle

Veterinary Receptionist

Diane is a recent addition in 2017 to our staff and brings talents in client care, reception, and technician work. She has returned to her roots on Cape Cod to further her career in veterinary medicine, leaving behind a career in non-profit and corporate work in Pennsylvania. She has a history with training service dogs and currently works with her therapy dog Mo on the Cape. She also volunteered and fostered for several rescues, and has helped to place many pups in their “FurEver” homes. Diane has two nearly grown children (one still in college) and enjoys boating, music, yoga, and playing with her two canine companions at the beach. She also has two kitties that are enjoying their new home on Cape Cod!

Andrea Woodside

Veterinary Technician

Andrea has worked as a vet technician at Leach Animal Hospital for almost a decade and a half, helping with everything from small animal care in our office to horse calls at the race track. She is a busy mom who runs between her three boys and husband at home, the barn where she enjoys riding her horse Gretchen, and walking her dog Bishop on the beach. In addition to her longtime commitment to veterinary medical care, she also sings with her band, the Half Shells, everywhere from Plymouth to outer Cape.

  • Alie McGraw
    Veterinary Technician

Alie is a longtime dog lover, horse trainer and equestrian. She has traveled the country throughout her life to manage barns, assist farm owners, and get horses into award-winning shape. Her reputation for a hard core work ethic and success with animals luckily landed her with our practice when she decided to return to her roots on Cape Cod, and she enjoys helping all facets of our clinic run efficiently. She is especially talented at keeping our surgery running smoothly and safely. Alie and her partner Dan are kept in line by two enormous (but friendly!) dogs at home.

In addition to her longtime commitment to veterinary medical care, she is our resident rockstar and lead voice of local band, The Half Shells, performing everywhere from Plymouth to outer Cape.

  • Jody Gorst
    Veterinary Technician Assistant

Jody came to us in 2021 as a California native with 12 years of living abroad in Germany with family. After moving to the east coast right around the COVID shutdown, she was looking to work with animals again and tripped across us just in the knick of time! She and her partner Peter share a home with a silly senior Rhodesian Ridgeback named Zappa and a sassy cat named Snoogs who runs the roost! Jody is naturally outgoing and loves to handle pets. She's found a great place to grow with us and is working toward the goal of learning new and fascinating things in our clinic.

  • Kristen Jeffries
Veterinary Receptionist and Veterinary Technician Assistant

Kristen holds the title of Team Member with Most Photos Taken with Puppies, ever! With a solid background in customer service, she joined our clinic to calm the chaos of a busy hospital's front desk but soon also found value in the actual patient care itself. She helps with both on a daily basis and never misses a chance to tell every dog and cat that she loves them.

  • Lily Williams
    Veterinary Receptionist

Lilly is a Cape Cod native with a wide background knowledge for the local ecosystem. Her dream is to save the bees! She loves spending rainy nights curled up by the fire with her two cats, Lucifer and Sir Squish.

  • Lisa Kraihanzel
    Veterinary Technician

Lisa is what we like to call our OG staff. She has been a talented Leach Animal Hospital fixture since our office first opened in the early 2000's. Having put the paint on the walls and establishing original protocols for our vet tech staff, she has developed a skill set that we just can't live without! Lisa studied at Northeastern University and is a licensed vet tech, but with a deep interest in dentistry, she has gone on to also earn a dental hygienist certification for humans as well! She balances both human and animal medicine and you can find her frequently performing dental cleanings on our many canine and feline patients.

Lori joined our practice in 2021 to help with the COVID pet overflow. She has experience working in other veterinary clinical settings as well and especially enjoys working on 'odd pets' like reptiles. She has even rescued boa constrictors, which get along very well with her two young girls!

Kristin lives in East Falmouth with her family and enjoys the beachside lifestyle with her 3 cats and 2 dogs.

  • Jessie Eldridge
    Veterinary Receptionist

Jessie has been a longtime client of Dr. Leach with both her dogs and horses. As a rider and dog lover, she always appreciated Dr. Leach's 'teacher' style, allowing her to help with assessments and enjoying the medicine behind the visits. After a few years living out in Alaska with her boyfriend Nick, who serves in the Coast Guard, the couple and their two German short haired pointers made their way back to Cape Cod where Jessie was born. She finally had her opportunity to fulfill her dream to work for our practice, and has begun learning the ins and outs of a busy vet clinic! An accomplished hiker in some of the most scenic spots, Jessie loves to spend time outdoors and hike with her two best fur-ends Miley and Hobbs.
