At Leach Animal Hospital, you will find a compassionate and dedicated team of professional staff who will pay attention to the unique concerns of each pet owner. They offer quality medical care to your companions in a friendly, state-of-the-art atmosphere.
Caitlin’s relationship with the Leach family began many years ago, but she officially began working at the vet hospital in 2010. A Cape Cod native, she has been involved in veterinary technician work for well over a decade and has been riding and working with horses for more than two decades. Prior to working full time at the vet hospital, Caitlin spent four years on Vieques, which is a Caribbean Island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. While she adventured there, she worked as an adoption coordinator and vet technician for Vieques Humane Society, and she ran horseback riding tours with an ecotourism company. She worked with us intermittently between island time until she returned to us full time in October 2014. Having developed great experience, skill, and leadership, Caitlin has moved into the role of technician supervisor. Caitlin was recently married to the man of her dreams and lives in Sandwich. She splits her downtime between jogging on beautiful Cape Cod beaches, entertaining her many adopted dogs, and riding her horse.
Susan began working as a veterinary technician at our hospital in 2009 after years of experience at a veterinary clinic in Connecticut. She has recently moved forward in our practice as the office manager. Susan enjoys riding horses and spending time with her four children. She is also a recent first time grandmother!
Victoria grew up on Cape Cod and has always been a fan of all things cute and fluffy. She recently graduated from University of Massachusetts with a degree in animal science and currently is continuing her education toward her dream of receiving admission into veterinary school. An award-winning Irish step dancer, Victoria brings tenacity and a strong work ethic along with a healthy dose of compassion to our team!
Lindsay has worked for Dr. Leach’s practice as a part time veterinary technician since 2007. She also works as a marine biologist and science educator, splitting her time between three offices – the Atlantic Ocean, the veterinary hospital, and classrooms on the south shore of Massachusetts. Between these three spaces, she supports her passion of caring for companion animals and marine wildlife. She holds a B.A. in biology and a Master’s Degree in emergency management. She also is certified with a DESE teaching license in the state of Massachusetts. Lindsay enjoys the salty Cape Cod beaches, singing in a choir, and boating with her (not very brave) boxer Nala.
Anndrea has a lifelong background in training, socializing, and showing dogs. “Andi” has worked in our practice as a veterinary receptionist since 2007 and is now the lead at the front desk, keeping our busy practice running smoothly. She also has managed her own insured pet sitting service for almost three decades, specializing in small dogs in her home. Andi lives by the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne and enjoys traveling, golf, and running. She recently ran the Falmouth Road Race and raised $2,000 for Team Challenge!
Claire is our newest addition to the team at the vet hospital, joining us in reception of your pets. Although she will be a fresh face at the front desk, Claire is also re-training as a veterinary technician. From a young age, Claire was immersed in companionship, with dogs, cats, bunnies, and horses in her hometown of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. After studying animal science and biology at the University of Vermont, Claire combined her love of animals, the mountains, and snowboarding by working for a vet practice in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. After living out west for many years, Claire has returned to New England, and is happy to now call Cape Cod her home. In her free time, Claire loves to snowboard, golf, cook, and travel.
Lisa has worked for Dr. Leach’s hospital since he opened his practice in Mashpee and has literally watched it grow “from the ground up” for more than a decade and a half, helping at each stage of development from designing lab space, painting walls, completing office work, and attending patients. She has been in the field for about twenty-five years and has experience in wildlife, zoo, large and small animals. Lisa is certified as a veterinary technician and holds a B.S. in biology from Northeastern University. She is also a certified dental hygienist and balances working at a dental office in addition to her time with us. She is married with three children. She enjoys time with her family at the beach and loves rescuing greyhounds!
You may recognize Courtney (Welch) from a few years back when she worked as a technician for our hospital before she took a year-long, grand adventure out to Colorado. In the mountains her heart was captured by man and dog, and she returned to us this year with both. Now happily married to her husband Jason right here on the Cape, and building a family with additional pups, we are excited to bear witness to Courtney’s hilarious sense of humor and gentle touch with our patients.
Diane is a recent addition in 2017 to our staff and brings talents in client care, reception, and technician work. She has returned to her roots on Cape Cod to further her career in veterinary medicine, leaving behind a career in non-profit and corporate work in Pennsylvania. She has a history with training service dogs and currently works with her therapy dog Mo on the Cape. She also volunteered and fostered for several rescues, and has helped to place many pups in their “FurEver” homes. Diane has two nearly grown children (one still in college) and enjoys boating, music, yoga, and playing with her two canine companions at the beach. She also has two kitties that are enjoying their new home on Cape Cod!
Andrea has worked as a vet technician at Leach Animal Hospital for almost a decade and a half, helping with everything from small animal care in our office to horse calls at the race track. She is a busy mom who runs between her three boys and husband at home, the barn where she enjoys riding her horse Gretchen, and walking her dog Bishop on the beach. In addition to her longtime commitment to veterinary medical care, she also sings with her band, the Half Shells, everywhere from Plymouth to outer Cape.
