Caitlin has been involved in veterinary technician work for over eight years and has been riding and working with horses for two decades. For more than four years she has lived on Vieques, which is a Caribbean Island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. She worked as an adoption coordinator and vet tech for Vieques Humane Society, and she ran horseback riding tours with an ecotourism company. Her relationship with the Leach family began many years ago, but she officially started working for the vet hospital in 2010. She worked with us intermittently between island time until she returned to us full time in October 2014. Caitlin was recently married to the man of her dreams and lives in Sandwich. She splits her downtime between jogging on beautiful Cape Cod beaches, entertaining her three dogs, and riding her horse.
Susan began working as a veterinary technician at our hospital in 2009 after years of experience at a veterinary clinic in Connecticut. She has recently moved forward in our practice as the office manager. Susan enjoys riding horses and spending time with her four children. She is also a recent first time grandmother!
Amy returns to us this year after beginning her veterinary technician career with Dr. Leach in 2005. After three years with us, she moved to Florida to work with horses as a barn manager and trainer, then continued her work there as a vet tech. She later transferred back to Massachusetts to work in emergency vet medicine. With a special interest in surgery, she is now working at Leach Animal Hospital once again as a vet tech while advancing her education. Amy is enrolled in school to obtain a veterinary technician license and plans to ultimately earn a specialty license in surgery and anesthesia. She enjoys working with horses, running, spending time at the beach, and loves time with her son Aiden and her two chihuahuas!
Marina has worked as a vet tech for sixteen years and joined our practice four years ago. She is married to husband Alberto and has a ten-year-old son and six-year-old daughter. She also owns a dog named Jango and a cat named Pixie. Marina loves working with animals and especially enjoys performing dental cleanings. This was a driving factor in her evolving career choice. Marina is currently a student at Cape Cod Community College entering her 4th semester in the dental hygiene program. After her expected graduation in 2017 and a new career as a registered dental hygienist, she still plans to continue working as a vet tech part time because that is where her heart is!
Lindsay has worked for Dr. Leach’s practice as a part time veterinary technician since 2007. She also works as a marine biologist and educator, splitting her time between three offices – the Atlantic Ocean, the veterinary hospital, and classrooms on the south shore of Massachusetts. Between these three spaces, she supports her passion of caring for companion animals and marine wildlife. She holds a B.A. in biology and a Master’s Degree in emergency management, and is currently earning her teaching license. Lindsay enjoys the salty Cape Cod beaches, singing in a choir, and boating with her (not very brave) dog Nala.
Anndrea has a lifelong background in training, socializing, and showing dogs. “Andi” has worked in our practice as a veterinary receptionist since 2007 and is now the lead at the front desk, keeping our busy practice running smoothly. She also has managed her own insured pet sitting service for almost three decades, specializing in small dogs in her home. Andi lives by the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne and enjoys traveling, golf, and running. She recently ran the Falmouth Road Race and raised $2,000 for Team Challenge!
Lisa has worked for Dr. Leach’s hospital since he opened his practice in Mashpee and has literally watched it grow “from the ground up”, helping at each stage of development from designing lab space, painting walls, completing office work, and attending patients. She has been in the field for twenty-two years and has experience in wildlife, zoo, large and small animals. Lisa is certified as a veterinary technician and holds a B.S. in biology from Northeastern University. She is married with three children and a Pomeranian named Wilbur. She enjoys time with her children at the beach and loves rescuing greyhounds!
New to us this year, Linda Rogers works as a veterinary receptionist. She has been working with animals since 1980, mainly in veterinary medicine. Her experience includes horse and dog showing, breeding, and training. She came to us from Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent time working in an animal hospital after managing a dog shelter. She was very active in greyhound rescue there and has one of her own, as well as vizslas and Siamese cats. She is currently a board member with Wild Care in Eastham and holds a Master’s Degree in nonprofit management.
Diane is a recent addition in 2017 to our staff and brings talents in client care, reception, and technician work. She has returned to her roots on Cape Cod to further her career in veterinary medicine, leaving behind a career in non-profit and corporate work in Pennsylvania. She has a history with training service dogs and currently works with her therapy dog Mo on the Cape. She also volunteered and fostered for several rescues, and has helped to place many pups in their “FurEver” homes. Diane has two nearly grown children (one still in college) and enjoys boating, music, yoga, and playing with her two canine companions at the beach. She also has two kitties that are enjoying their new home on Cape Cod!
Andrea has worked as a vet technician at Leach Animal Hospital for almost a decade and a half, helping with everything from small animal care in our office to horse calls at the race track. She is a busy mom who runs between her three boys and husband at home, the barn where she enjoys riding her horse Gretchen, and walking her dog Bishop on the beach. In addition to her longtime commitment to veterinary medical care, she also sings with her band, the Half Shells, everywhere from Plymouth to outer Cape.
